Silver And Cold

In this one I went for more of a painted feel. Unlike the previous pieces, I incorporated shadows – and for some reason I tried to stay away from using black. I like the look of this one, but there were two main problems I had with it: it’s still not dark enough, and it took way too long. There’s no way I can spend hours on one panel of a multi-panel page. I’m sure practice will make me faster, but I’d rather save this kind of stuff for cover pieces or posters.

I got really motivated after working on this one, because I finally felt like I was starting to get the painting technique.
