Battle For The Sun

I tried to work more quickly here than in a lot of my previous painting tests. This is nowhere near looking like a finished piece, but I was having fun playing with the armor design and hairstyle. I won’t be giving every character I create a goth look. I’m sure my style preferences will show through one way or another.

The color scheme worked out nicely for this. I’m still leaning towards a style using harsh blacks in all the images, regardless of the actual realistic lighting position. I’d like the trilogy to have more of a noir feel to it, rather than the typical modern comic coloring.
