When I’m writing, I try to listen to stuff that doesn’t have any vocals. I can still benefit from the mood the music sets, but my brain doesn’t get all jumbled with other people’s words. Infinity Shred has a great mellow futuristic ethereal sound. Growing up in the 80s must have given me a soft spot for this type of retro-inspired electronic sound. Check them out here. Speaking of 80s-inspired music, I’m going to make a Spotify playlist for Neon Cell. It’s going to be a “soundtrack” of sorts – miscellaneous favorites of mine that I think embody the setting. I’ll link to it in a separate blog post when it’s ready.
