I listen to metal a lot when I’m drawing. Although their discography didn’t get very large before breaking up, Apostate is still one of my favorites to put on repeat. I like to play stuff that relates to the content of what I’m working on. For some reason, metal and medieval stuff just seems to go hand-in-hand – I’m not really sure why that is…
Shortly after I began listening to this band, I created a sect of characters in Neon Cell called apostates. The sole mission of an apostate is to track down and eliminate every last paladin knight. This task was given to them directly by the daemons, in exchange for the apostates’ immunity from possession.
